Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using the Parascope platform (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

2. Service Description

Parascope is an infrastructure discovery and intelligence platform provided as a service (SaaS). It discovers configuration items, maps the relationships between them, and tracks changes over time. Collection runs by two routes. Sources inside your own network are collected by a probe appliance you run there, which holds their credentials locally. Sources reachable over the internet, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Hetzner Cloud, Cloudflare, Jira and Tenable, are collected by processes running in your tenant on the platform, using read-only credentials you supply. The data sources page lists the sources we collect from today.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate account information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access at [email protected].

4. Acceptable Use

  • Do not use the Service for illegal purposes.
  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to other tenants or platform systems.
  • Do not interfere with or disrupt the Service.
  • Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service.
  • Do not exceed reasonable usage that degrades service for other users.

5. Intellectual Property

  • The Service, including its software, design, documentation, and trademarks, is owned by Parascope Limited and protected by intellectual property laws.
  • We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for the duration of your subscription.
  • This licence does not grant you any rights to Parascope's source code, algorithms, or underlying technology.
  • Feedback you provide about the Service may be used by Parascope to improve the product without obligation to you.

6. Data Ownership and Processing

  • You retain full ownership of your infrastructure data.
  • Parascope has a limited licence to process your data solely for service delivery.
  • We will not access your data except as required to provide the Service or as directed by you.
  • A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available on request from [email protected]. The document is still in legal review, so its terms may change before it is signed, and no customer agreement has yet been executed against it. Ask for it early in a legal review and tell us what your team needs to see.
  • The third parties that process data on our behalf are published on the subprocessors page, together with the 30-day notice we serve before that list changes and your right to object inside that window.

7. Confidentiality

  • Each party agrees to keep the other party's confidential information confidential and not to disclose it to third parties except as required by law or to provide the Service.
  • Your infrastructure data, account information, and usage patterns are treated as your confidential information.
  • Confidentiality obligations survive termination of these terms for a period of two years.

8. Pricing and Billing

  • Pricing is based on active configuration item count (see parascope.io/pricing).
  • A 30-day trial with full functionality is available to new tenants. A valid payment method is required to start it: the card is validated at signup, and nothing is charged during the 30 days. Cancel at any point before the trial ends and you are not billed; otherwise the subscription converts to a paid plan when the trial expires.
  • Trial tenants are limited to 2,500 active configuration items. A daily usage check applies the limit, so discovery carries on until the next check runs; from then until the tenant converts to a paid plan, newly discovered items stop being added. Items already discovered keep being updated, and none of your data is deleted.
  • Monthly and annual billing options available.
  • We may adjust pricing with 30 days advance notice.

9. Service Availability

  • We use reasonable efforts to maintain high availability.
  • Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.
  • We publish an availability target on our trust page, stated with how it is measured, alongside the public status page. That target is the operational standard we hold ourselves to and report against.
  • The target is not a contractual SLA. No uptime SLA and no service credits are provided under these base terms (an SLA may be agreed separately with enterprise customers), so a missed target is not a breach of this agreement.

10. Indemnification

  • You agree to indemnify Parascope against any claims arising from your use of the Service in violation of these terms or applicable law.
  • Parascope will indemnify you against third-party claims that the Service infringes their intellectual property rights, provided you notify us promptly and give us control of the defence.

11. Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by Irish law, Parascope's total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • Parascope is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • The Service is provided “as is” without warranties beyond those required by law.

12. Termination

  • Either party may terminate with 30 days written notice.
  • We may suspend access for breach of these terms.
  • Upon termination, your data remains available for export for 30 days.
  • After the export period, your data will be securely deleted.

13. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, government actions, power failures, internet outages, or third-party service failures.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you may terminate your account.

15. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
  • Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
